In a crucial meeting held in New Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the implementation of three new criminal laws in Odisha.

The meeting, attended by senior officials from the Union and State governments, emphasized the importance of timely and efficient execution of these laws to bolster Odisha’s law and order framework.

During the discussion, Amit Shah urged the Odisha administration to achieve 100% implementation of the laws within the next six months. He highlighted that the upcoming decade will be pivotal for Odisha’s industrial and technological development, with robust law enforcement playing a critical role.

To ensure progress, a meticulous monitoring system was established: the Home Secretary will review the implementation weekly, the Chief Secretary and DGP will conduct fortnightly reviews, and the Chief Minister will oversee it monthly. These measures underline the collaborative commitment to fostering a secure and thriving environment in Odisha.
