As a part of its ongoing initiative to support micro and small businesses, Amazon India will host the fourth edition of its Karigar Mela storefront on June 21 and June 22, ahead of MSME Day 2025.

This online platform has become a vital showcase for India’s artisans, allowing them to present their handcrafted products while preserving traditional crafts and expanding their reach to millions of customers through e-commerce.

This year’s Karigar Mela will feature thousands of artisans from various regions across India, offering customers a curated selection of handcrafted products that celebrate the country’s cultural and creative diversity. Popular categories such as furniture, women’s ethnic wear, and home décor are witnessing strong traction, fueled by an increasing demand for handmade and regionally sourced items. This edition of the event further enhances market access for local artisans, bringing a broader range of regional crafts to customers nationwide.

On this occasion, Mr. Gaurav Bhatnagar, Director of Sales at Amazon India, stated, “Karigar Mela reflects our ongoing commitment to empower small businesses and artisans throughout India by facilitating their participation in e-commerce. By supporting the revival of traditional crafts and enhancing access to markets, we provide artisans with the opportunity to scale their businesses sustainably. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem and creating long-term value for both customers and sellers.”

Launched in 2017, the Amazon Karigar program aims to enable small businesses and specialized micro-entrepreneurs—including weavers and artisans—to benefit from e-commerce, helping them grow their businesses and, in many cases, revive dying art forms in the country. Currently, the Amazon Karigar program supports over 1.8 million artisans, offering a selection of more than 200,000 unique handmade products, which includes over 470 distinct arts and crafts from across India.
