Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have once again come together for a new commercial, giving fans a glimpse of the trio’s on-screen chemistry.
The three Bollywood stars feature in a Rungta Steel advertisement in which they poke fun at each other’s iconic film roles and eventually dance to Akshay Kumar’s popular track Hookah Bar from the 2012 film Khiladi 786.
The trio have previously appeared in advertisements for the same brand.
What happens in the new ad?
The commercial opens with actor Bijendra Kala pitching an idea for the advertisement. His concept involves Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir dancing to Hookah Bar.
The three stars politely react to the suggestion before pitching their own ideas, with each concept drawing on their popular film characters and storylines.
Shah Rukh suggests a Don-inspired scenario in which police from 12 countries surround Don but cannot break into his house because it is built using Rungta TMT bars.
Ranbir immediately turns the joke around with a reference to Shah Rukh’s iconic Don dialogue, saying, “Is ad ko jhelna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai.”
He then pitches his own Rockstar-inspired idea, imagining a performer who delivers the biggest performance of his life and shakes the world, while the stage remains steady because it is made from Rungta bars.
Alia Bhatt references Jigra
Alia also joins the playful exchange with a reference to her 2024 film Jigra.
She pitches a story about a girl whose brother is in jail and who cannot break him out because the prison is made from Rungta TMT bars.
Shah Rukh then takes a dig at her idea, joking, “Ise dekhne ka jigra kisi mein nahi hai.”
The stars ultimately give in and dance to Akshay Kumar’s Hookah Bar in the commercial.
Fans want Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir in a film
The advertisement quickly attracted attention online, with social media users praising its writing, humour and the chemistry between the three actors.
Some fans called the commercial’s writing creative, while others asked filmmakers to cast Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir together in a movie.
One social media user wrote, “Cast them in a film please,” while another praised the commercial as “creativity at its peak.”
The trio’s combined star power also became a subject of jokes, with one user quipping that the advertisement’s casting budget appeared higher than the construction budget.
Have Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir worked together before?
Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt have previously worked together in Gauri Shinde’s 2016 film Dear Zindagi.
However, Shah Rukh and Ranbir Kapoor have not starred together in a film so far. The new commercial therefore gives audiences a rare glimpse of all three actors sharing the same screen.
