The team of Hanuman Ansh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi on Monday, September 21, following the film’s strong run at the box office.
Director Vishal Chaturvedi and lead actor Shobhinaw Satyaa were among those present during the meeting. The interaction came shortly after the spiritual drama crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide.
RamBola project also discussed
During the meeting, producer Mahaveer Jain reportedly spoke about the team’s upcoming project RamBola, which is based on the life and legacy of Goswami Tulsidas.
The project was announced earlier this month and is set to be written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, with Mahaveer Jain as co-producer.
Hanuman Ansh’s box office turnaround
Hanuman Ansh, which was released on August 7, has emerged as a major box-office success after a slow start.
The film reportedly had a production budget of around Rs 2 crore and initially opened to modest numbers before gaining momentum through word of mouth.
The film crossed the Rs 300 crore worldwide milestone in its sixth week. NDTV reported that it had crossed the mark in 41 days, while subsequent trade reports placed its worldwide gross even higher.
The film is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba and is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, with Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role.
Earlier meetings with political leaders
The Hanuman Ansh team had also met other political leaders earlier.
According to the report, the filmmakers met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his official residence, Varsha, in Mumbai.
The latest meeting with Amit Shah comes as the film continues its theatrical run and draws attention for its unexpected box-office performance.
From a small-budget release to a major success
The film’s trajectory has been notable for its shift from a low opening to sustained theatrical momentum.
Trade reports have subsequently placed Hanuman Ansh among the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2026, with its worldwide collections moving beyond Rs 300 crore.
