The Odisha Higher Education Department has officially released the complete timeline for Phase-II e-Admission into Post Graduate (PG) courses across State Public Universities and participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2026–27 academic session.
Aspiring postgraduate students seeking fresh options or upgraded seats can participate through the official portal at www.samsodisha.gov.in.
Key Schedule & Highlights
- Online CAF & Choice Locking: The Common Application Form (CAF) for fresh options and choice locking opens on September 12, 2026 (04:00 PM) and closes on September 21, 2026 (11:45 PM). Applicants can edit their choices until the deadline.
- 1st Round Provisional Seat Allotment: Provisional seat allotments and waitlisted applicant rankings (for remaining upper-choice HEIs) will be published on September 24, 2026 (04:00 PM) based on vacancies as of September 21.
- First Round Reporting & Fee Payment: Selected candidates must report to their allotted institutions with their downloaded intimation letters and pay admission fees online (Net Banking, UPI, Challan, or NEFT) between September 25 (10:00 AM) and September 28, 2026 (05:00 PM) (excluding holidays).
- Institution Data Update: Higher Education Institutions will update admitted student data on the e-space portal from September 25 to September 28, 2026 (up to 11:45 PM).
Waiting List Admission Process
- Physical Reporting: Waitlisted candidates must submit their CAF and required documents in person at their respective HEIs between September 29 (10:00 AM) and September 30, 2026 (02:00 PM). Representatives with valid ID proof are also permitted on the applicant’s behalf.
- Merit List Publication: Participating HEIs will publish the merit list on their notice boards/websites and notify selected candidates via phone calls or SMS on October 01, 2026 (02:00 PM).
- Final Document Validation & Admission:
- Selected Waitlisted Candidates: Document verification and fee collection will take place from October 03 (10:00 AM) to October 05, 2026 (05:00 PM).
- Remaining Vacancies: Further reporting for any leftover vacant seats will run from October 06 (10:00 AM) to October 07, 2026 (05:00 PM).
- Final Data Updation: HEIs will complete final admission entries in e-space by October 07, 2026 (09:00 PM).
