M Rampur Police in Kalahandi district have achieved another major success in a ganja seizure operation, recovering 9.1 quintals of ganja from the Lubengad forest.
According to police sources, M Rampur Police Station Officer Sanjukta Pradhan received information from a reliable source that ganja had been stored in the Lubengad forest under Mohangiri Police Outpost. The area falls under M Rampur Police Station and is a remote, tribal-dominated and Maoist-affected region.
Acting on the information, a police team led by Sanjukta Pradhan conducted a raid in the Lubengad forest. During the operation, police seized 9 quintals 10 kg of ganja along with a Mahindra Bolero vehicle.
Police informed that the accused managed to flee the spot during the raid.
Following the seizure, M Rampur Police registered Case No. 224/2026 under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPC Act. Further investigation into the case is underway, while police efforts to apprehend the accused are continuing.
