A shocking incident rocked Chunida village under Bhadrak Rural Police Station when a father allegedly stabbed his son to death following a heated family dispute on Wednesday morning.
According to sources, Rabi Sahu and his married son Bikash Sahu had been engaged in frequent quarrels over domestic issues. The tension reportedly escalated early in the morning when the enraged father locked his daughter‑in‑law inside a room and attacked his son with a knife.
Bikash collapsed after sustaining grievous injuries. He was rushed to the local medical facility, where doctors declared him dead. The wife also suffered injuries while trying to intervene.
Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause behind the tragedy, suspected to have stemmed from long‑standing family discord. The incident has left the village in deep shock.
