In a determined bid to position Odisha as a premier destination for global capital, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to depart for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 8.
The three-day official visit marks his second international investment roadshow, bringing the state’s industrial pitch to the economic hubs of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The high-stakes outreach aims to showcase Odisha’s investment-ready ecosystem, emphasizing its manufacturing strengths, infrastructure, and rapidly emerging sectors.
The delegation’s packed itinerary kicks off in Abu Dhabi, where CM Majhi will engage directly with top UAE institutions. Key highlights of the capital visit include a high-level roundtable with the International Holding Company (IHC), meetings with the UAE Minister of Investment, and strategic discussions with prominent sovereign wealth funds. Several Memoranda of Cooperation (MoCs) are also slated for signing, cementing new industrial and trade partnerships.
Following the engagements in Abu Dhabi, the Chief Minister will shift focus to Dubai for a series of one-on-one meetings with industry leaders, logistics players, and prospective global investors. On September 11, the delegation will host the highly anticipated Odisha Investors Meet in Dubai.
Beyond corporate boardrooms, the Chief Minister will dedicate time to interact with the Odia diaspora, urging the global community to become active stakeholders in their home state’s economic transformation.
With a focused strategy on deepening trade ties and transitioning toward higher-value, export-led industrial growth, this UAE outreach underscores Odisha’s ambition to secure major foreign direct investments. CM Majhi will conclude the global roadshow and depart the UAE on September 12.
