Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Sunday chaired a review meeting at the conference hall of Chilika Block to strengthen quality education in all high schools of the Chilika Assembly constituency.
The meeting focused on improving academic standards and ensuring a 100 percent pass rate among students. Officials and school heads discussed classroom systems, student attendance, learning competency, the quality of teaching, exam preparation, and previous examination results.
Special attention was given to schools whose results have fallen short of expectations. Minister Harichandan asked officials to identify the reasons for underperformance and take corrective steps without delay.
The discussion also covered extra teaching for weaker subjects, regular practice, continuous evaluation and closer coordination between teachers and students. The minister said every student should be able to move ahead according to talent, ability and skill, and that no learner should be left out of education.
He advised officers, headmasters and headmistresses to work towards still stronger examination results in the coming academic cycle.
Those present included Khordha District Education Officer Sonamika Ray, Chilika Block Chairperson Jyosna Behera, Vice Chairperson Arun Pattnaik, Assistant Executive Engineer Madhusmita Tripathy, the Block Education Officer, all headmasters and headmistresses, and CRCCs of the block.
