Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya has been fined Rs 12 lakh following his team’s slow over-rate during their IPL match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on March 29, 2025.

This penalty marks MI’s first offense of the season, as per the IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.2.

The match proved challenging for MI as GT posted an impressive total of 196 runs on the black soil pitch. Despite their efforts, MI fell short by 36 runs, marking their second consecutive loss this season. The game also witnessed a tense altercation between Pandya and GT’s Sai Kishore, showcasing the competitive spirit of IPL. The duo later resolved their differences, emphasizing camaraderie amidst rivalry.

MI’s next opportunity to bounce back arises in their upcoming clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 31, 2025.
