A devastating flash flood tore through parts of Nepal on Wednesday, leaving chaos and uncertainty in its wake. Early reports indicate that hundreds of Indians remain unaccounted for in the affected regions, prompting swift action from Indian authorities.

The Government of Odisha has moved quickly to support its citizens. A dedicated 24×7 Control Room has been established at Odisha Niwas in New Delhi to assist people from Odisha who may be in distress.

Immediate Helpline Numbers:

  • Mobile: +91-7428135044 / 8527580245
  • Landline: 011-23012807

For broader assistance, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has shared these Nepal-based emergency contacts:

  • +977 9851316807
  •  +977 9709107500

Follow @MEAIndia for official updates.

Nodal Officer Pritish Panda, Officer on Special Duty at the Directorate of Odisha Paribar, Government of Odisha, is available for help and information. He can be reached at +91 95833 21964.

As rescue and relief operations continue, families of those missing are urged to contact the control room or the listed helplines immediately. Officials are coordinating closely with Indian missions and local authorities in Nepal to locate and assist those affected.
