The daughter of Ajit Dashavatare, the personal assistant of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, was found dead near her home in Baramati in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday, police said.
The incident has prompted a police investigation, with officials saying that the case is being examined from all possible angles.
According to news agency PTI, citing sources, the young woman had a minor argument with her mother over an issue on Saturday before leaving home in anger.
When she did not return, her family approached the police and filed a complaint, the report said.
Her body was subsequently found near her residence in the Sainagar area of Rui village in Baramati on Sunday morning.
After receiving information about the incident, police personnel reached the spot and sent the body to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A senior police official said an investigation had been launched and that all possible angles were being examined.
“The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles,” the official said.
The circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be established. Police are expected to determine the sequence of events as part of the ongoing investigation. Further details are awaited.
