The Odisha government has officially started the registration process for the 2026 Kharif paddy procurement season, allowing farmers to enrol between August 6 and August 31.
Farmers must collect fresh registration forms from their nearest Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) and submit them at the same office within the deadline. Along with the form, applicants are required to attach:
- Aadhaar card photocopy
- Aadhaar‑linked or alternative mobile number
- Record of Rights (RoR) or land documents
- First page of bank passbook
- Farmer Registry number or Agri Stack number
For sharecroppers, a consent letter from the landowner is mandatory. Aadhaar‑based e‑KYC is compulsory for all applicants.
In the registration form, farmers must specify the month and fortnight in which they plan to sell their paddy under the procurement programme. For sharecroppers, Aadhaar e‑KYC of both the cultivator and landowner is required, with the landowner’s presence being mandatory during the process.
Officials said the streamlined registration aims to ensure transparency and timely procurement during the upcoming Kharif season.
