Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed to activist and innovator Sonam Wangchuk to follow medical advice, maintain his daily routine and regain his previous weight as soon as possible.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said he was praying for Wangchuk’s good health.
“I urge Sonam Ji to maintain his daily routine according to the advice of doctors and regain his previous weight as soon as possible. I pray to the Almighty that Sonam Ji remains healthy,” the Prime Minister said.
The message was posted in Hindi and tagged Sonam Wangchuk and Gitanjali Angmo.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid widespread concern over Wangchuk’s health following his prolonged fast.
