A shocking incident has surfaced in the Phiringia area of Kandhamala district, where an Anganwadi worker has accused a local man of rape under the pretext of marriage.
According to police, the accused, identified as a Krushak Sathi (farmer associate), allegedly established a relationship with the victim by promising marriage. When the victim lodged a complaint, police swiftly arrested the accused and registered a case.
The survivor, an Anganwadi worker from Firingia, stated that the accused misled her with false assurances of marriage before committing the crime. Police have confirmed that the investigation is underway, with evidence being collected to establish the sequence of events.
