As whispers of a possible COVID-19 situation begin to circulate, Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling has stepped forward with a clear, reassuring message: stay alert, but do not let fear take over.
Chairing a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan today, the minister reviewed the state’s preparedness and necessary measures to handle any emerging scenario. He firmly told the people there is no reason to worry at this stage.
“The state government is in continuous coordination with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. We are fully prepared to deal with any situation,” Dr Mahaling stated.
The minister made a direct appeal to citizens across Odisha: Do not get disturbed or frightened by rumours or misinformation. Remain vigilant, follow all necessary health safety protocols, and rely only on official sources for information.
The meeting was attended by Health Secretary Ashwati S., National Health Mission Director Brinda D, and senior officials of the Health Department.
