The controversy surrounding the death of Odisha-based YouTuber Rahul Maharana has taken a fresh turn after his wife, Trishna, returned to her parental home and levelled new allegations against her in-laws.
The latest developments have further intensified the ongoing family dispute, with both sides making serious accusations against each other.
High Drama During Visit to In-Laws’ House
Tension unfolded on Monday at Rahul Maharana’s residence in the Pandara area of Bhubaneswar when Trishna arrived with police assistance to collect belongings that she claimed were gifted by her family during the marriage.
Accompanied by her mother and a relative, Trishna reportedly sought access to jewellery, personal belongings and other valuables. According to sources, the main gate of the house was locked before her arrival and was opened only after police intervention.
The situation became increasingly tense as members of both families exchanged allegations inside the residence.
Trishna Alleges Gold Jewellery Is Missing
Speaking to the media, Trishna claimed that several gold ornaments belonging to her and her late husband were missing.
According to her, only empty jewellery boxes were found inside a locked cupboard after it was opened. She alleged that valuable ornaments had disappeared and questioned their whereabouts.
Trishna stated that the missing items included necklaces, bangles, rings, bracelets, chains and traditional ornaments. She further claimed that the issue had existed for a long time but had remained unspoken due to family pressures.
She also raised objections regarding photographs displayed in the house and accused her sister-in-law and brother-in-law of wrongdoing.
In-Laws Reject Allegations
Rahul Maharana’s mother strongly denied the allegations and offered a different account of family relations.
She alleged that Trishna rarely participated in household activities and did not follow certain family traditions. According to her, Trishna spent limited time at the family home and had not returned since leaving after the post-funeral rituals.
The deceased YouTuber’s mother also questioned the allegations of harassment and claimed there was no mistreatment within the household.
Family Rift Widens
The exchange of accusations has further widened the rift between Trishna and her in-laws. Both sides continue to maintain conflicting versions of events, making the dispute increasingly complex.
