In a significant move that has piqued political interest, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and Leader of Opposition in Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, departed for a seven-day visit to Delhi on Monday.
While the trip is officially described as a mix of personal commitments and scheduled programmes, sources indicate that the veteran leader is likely to hold crucial meetings with several key figures in the national capital.
According to senior BJD leader and Vice President Debi Mishra, Patnaik’s itinerary includes a blend of personal work and other important engagements. “He will be in Delhi for approximately one week,” Mishra told the media.
The visit comes at a time when national political alignments are fluid, raising eyebrows about possible discussions on future strategies, alliances, or regional issues concerning Odisha.
