The TATA IPL Fan Parks are set to bring the electrifying energy of cricket closer to fans than ever before. In a significant announcement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed plans to expand the initiative to 50 cities across 23 states and one union territory for the 2025 season.
This ambitious endeavour, beginning March 22 and running until May 25, promises to create an immersive IPL experience from Tinsukia in Assam to Kochi in Kerala, and from Amritsar in Punjab to Goa.
The IPL Fan Park in Odisha is scheduled to take place in Rourkela during Week 10, from May 23-25.
These Fan Parks are designed to replicate the electrifying stadium atmosphere and feature live match screenings, music, food courts, kid-friendly zones, and interactive cricketing activities like a virtual batting zone, face-painting, and even replica dugouts. The first batch of Fan Parks will debut in cities such as Rohtak, Bikaner, Gangtok, Kochi, and Coimbatore.
IPL Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal expressed his enthusiasm: “This initiative is integral to our vision of bringing IPL closer to every cricket fan. We aim to ensure that the thrill and passion of the tournament reach every corner of the nation.” His sentiments were echoed by BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia, who highlighted the Fan Parks’ role in creating unforgettable experiences for millions of fans.
This year’s program will also venture into new territories, hosting events in cities like Kakinada, Dimapur, Karaikal, and others for the first time.
The TATA IPL Fan Parks truly embody the spirit of inclusivity, uniting cricket lovers across India under one roof of celebration.
