The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration resumed the inventory work inside the Ratna Bhandar today after halting the process for the Bahara Chandan Jatra rituals.
Officials confirmed that the inventorisation of jewellery and valuables began on March 25, 2026, under the Standard Operating Procedure approved by the State Government. The process has already continued for 57 hours and 8 minutes across different phases. Sacred rituals of Akshaya Trutiya and the 21-day Bahara Chandan Jatra required a temporary suspension.
The resumed work will continue on May 11 and May 12. Since the Bhitara Chandan Jatra begins today, the inventorisation will start only after the completion of Jata Bhoga and Madhyahna Dhupa rituals. SJTA made arrangements to ensure uninterrupted daily rituals and smooth darshan for devotees.
During the inventory process, Darshan will remain available only from the Bahara Katha area, approximately from 4:00 pm until the Sandhya Dhupa rituals conclude. Security measures remain strict, and transparency is guaranteed.
The entire process will take place in the presence of authorised Sevak members, the Chairman of the Ratna Bhandara High-Level Committee, the Executive Magistrate, and other officials. SJTA emphasised that the work continues under the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Padhee appealed to sevaks, officials, devotees, and the public for cooperation. The schedule for subsequent phases of the Ratna Bhandar inventory will be announced later.
