Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined a high-level virtual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, fellow Chief Ministers, and Lieutenant Governors to discuss strategies for crisis mitigation amid global challenges.
CM Majhi emphasised the Prime Minister’s focus on economic stability, proactive agricultural planning, and special attention to border and coastal states for shipping and essential supplies. He praised the excise duty cut on petroleum as a forward-looking decision that prioritises citizens and reflects the “Nation First” principle.
Majhi noted that India continues to navigate global disruptions with confidence under the Prime Minister’s leadership, strengthening the country’s international position while safeguarding national priorities.
He assured that the Odisha government is working to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential commodities, accurate information for citizens, and strict action against hoarding or black marketing. He urged people to remain patient and avoid unnecessary purchases so that systems function smoothly.
