Bollywood’s iconic “Dream Girl”, Hema Malini, captivated an enthusiastic audience at Sri Sri University in Cuttack on Thursday during a special session titled “Echoes of an Era: Hema Malini Reflects on Her Iconic Films and Timeless Artistry.”


The renowned actress, director, producer, politician, and classical dancer shared heartfelt insights into her illustrious career, leaving attendees inspired by her dedication to the arts.

“I want to leave behind a legacy as an exceptional dancer and a distinguished artist,” Hema Malini declared during the event, emphasizing the values of sincerity and perseverance in any creative pursuit.

The session, organized by the university, saw her recount her journey from her early days in the film industry to her pivotal roles in landmark films that defined Bollywood’s golden era. She also highlighted how her training in Bharatanatyam shaped her cinematic expressions, blending classical dance with her on-screen charisma.

The discussion, moderated by Guru Ratikant Mohapatra, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Communication, and Indic Studies, delved into unexplored chapters of her life, offering a rare glimpse into the personal and professional milestones of the veteran star. Hema’s reflections on her memorable films, storytelling finesse, and artistic wisdom kept the audience spellbound.

In recognition of her invaluable impact, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tej Pratap honored Hema Malini with a special felicitation. Other dignitaries present included Swami Satya Chaitanya, Registrar Anil Kumar Sharma, and Guru Ratikant Mohapatra.
