In a bid to enhance railway safety and infrastructure, the East Coast Railway has announced significant changes to train services in the Khurda Road Division.
These modifications are necessary for crucial safety-related modernisation works, including Non-Interlocking (NI) activities at Jakhapura station. The works are part of commissioning the third line between Jajpur Keonjhar Road and Jakhapura, aimed at improving efficiency and passenger safety.
The disruptions will affect several MEMU and express trains, with cancellations and short terminations scheduled from early February. Railway officials emphasise that these measures are temporary and essential to ensure seamless execution without compromising safety.
