Bengaluru, December 29, 2025: Virat Kohli will feature in Delhi’s Vijay Hazare Trophy fixture against Railways on January 6, giving the team a significant boost ahead of the knockout race.
Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) president Rohan Jaitley confirmed Kohli’s availability and said, “He has communicated to us that he will be available for three games, so for now, he is set to play the fixture against Railways. We are very hopeful.”
Earlier in the tournament, Kohli played two matches and scored 131 and 77. Afterwards, he returned to London but left his kit at the Delhi team hotel. Consequently, he is expected to rejoin the squad a day or two before the upcoming game in Bengaluru.
His presence matters greatly for Delhi because the team is aiming to secure a place in the knockout stage. Moreover, Kohli’s performances have already strengthened the campaign, and his return will further boost morale.
After completing his commitments with Delhi, Kohli will join the Indian team for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The squad will assemble in Vadodara on January 7, and the series opener will take place on January 11.
