The Odisha government has distributed financial assistance to over 2.30 lakh beneficiaries in the fifth phase of the first installment distribution.


Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed the update, noting that the ambitious program has now reached a total of 1.20 crore beneficiaries across its five phases.

In recognition of the scheme’s success, the Deputy CM announced cash rewards for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. Each Anganwadi worker will receive Rs 1,500, while Helpers will receive Rs 500 as part of the reward.

The second installment of money under the Subhadra Yojana is set to be released on March 8, covering around 1 crore women beneficiaries. The Deputy CM also appealed to all women beneficiaries to light a lamp in front of their homes on the evening of March 7 to celebrate the scheme’s success.

On February 8, more than 18 lakh women beneficiaries received Rs 5,000 in the fourth phase. The Subhadra scheme was launched on September 17, 2024, following the formation of the BJP government in Odisha. In the first phase, Rs 5,000 was credited to the bank accounts of 25 lakh women beneficiaries. The second phase, on October 9 last year, benefited around 39 lakh women, while the third phase saw money disbursed to 20 lakh women beneficiaries on November 24.
