Tragedy struck on Thursday when a Class 10 student lost his life in a road accident near Chandanguda area in Odisha’s Malkangiri district while heading to his Matric examination centre.
According to reports, two students from MV-101 village were traveling to the Serpalli examination centre on a motorcycle when a speeding pickup van collided with them head-on. One student died instantly due to severe head injuries, while the other was injured.
Notably, neither the biker nor the pillion rider was wearing a helmet. Despite his injuries, the surviving student was treated at a nearby hospital and later appeared for the examination.
