Odisha Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik criticised the state BJP government after it cancelled the ANM exam.
He declared that the decision crushed the dreams of lakhs of aspirants and pushed thousands of hopeful candidates into uncertainty.
Moreover, Patnaik posted on X that repeated cancellations of recruitment exams have destroyed the future of many young people. He asked how many more dreams would break and how many more futures would suffer because of government inaction.

In addition, he highlighted that during the last 18 months, nearly 18 recruitment exams faced cancellation or postponement. He argued that these actions clearly reflect the government’s inability to conduct fair and transparent examinations.
Consequently, Patnaik urged the administration to ensure regular and transparent exams. He demanded accountability and insisted that the government safeguard the aspirations of Odisha’s youth. He emphasised that the cancellation of the ANM exam not only disrupted career plans but also eroded trust in the system.
Furthermore, the opposition leader’s remarks resonated with thousands of students who expressed frustration over repeated disruptions. Many aspirants explained that they had prepared for months, only to face disappointment when exams were cancelled.
As a result, Patnaik’s statement added pressure on the government to address the issue and restore confidence among job seekers. He warned that ignoring the concerns of youth would damage the credibility of the administration.
