Odisha unveiled its first dinosaur-themed park, “Dinosaurs Alive,” at the Regional Science Centre (RSC), commonly known as Science Park, on Monday.
Spanning 2.5 acres, the park boasts life-sized dinosaur models, motion-sensor effects, and immersive graphics, offering visitors an authentic Mesozoic-era experience.
Designed to recreate the prehistoric jungle theme, the park features advanced animatronics and dynamic light shows, bringing the ancient creatures to life. The state-of-the-art technology and creative design make “Dinosaurs Alive” an ideal destination for students, researchers, and dinosaur enthusiasts.
Inaugurated by Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, the park is seen as a significant step towards promoting science education in an engaging and interactive manner. “This is a major initiative to spark curiosity about natural history and inspire young minds to explore the wonders of science,” stated Patra during the inauguration ceremony.
Expected to become a major attraction for tourists and students, “Dinosaurs Alive” aims to boost scientific tourism in the state by merging entertainment with education.
