President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to transit through Odisha’s Jharsuguda on November 20 en route to Chhattisgarh, where she will participate in the ‘Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas’ program in Ambikapur.

She will return to Odisha on November 27 to inaugurate the new Kalinga Guest House at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar and address the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the first day of its winter session.

According to details shared by state officials, on November 20, the President will depart New Delhi at 8:25 AM aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft, arriving at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda by 10:05 AM. From there, she will travel by a special Air Force helicopter to Gandhi Stadium in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, and proceed to the PG College ground for the event organised by the Chhattisgarh government. After the program concludes, she will return to Jharsuguda before heading to Andhra Pradesh by 1:45 PM. Preparations for her brief stop in Jharsuguda include security arrangements, fire safety measures, medical facilities, and emergency accommodations, coordinated with the district collector and SP.

On November 27, President Murmu will leave New Delhi at 11:50 AM, landing at Bhubaneswar airport by 2 PM. She will head to Raj Bhavan for a midday break, followed by the inauguration of the new Kalinga Guest House at 4 PM. At 4:20 PM, she will arrive at the Odisha Legislative Assembly, where she will address the members from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The evening will feature a dinner hosted by the Governor at Raj Bhavan. The President is set to depart Bhubaneswar the next day, November 28, at 9:35 AM for Lucknow.

In preparation for these visits, a state-level meeting was held earlier today at Lok Seva Bhawan, chaired by the Chief Secretary. The Home Department presented an overview of the itinerary, with discussions focusing on security, convoy arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, health services, pass protocols, and media coverage. Attendees included Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Satyabrata Sahu, DGP Y.B. Khurania, DG (Fire Services) Dr. Sudhanshu Sarangi, Raj Bhavan Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Assembly Secretary, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner, Khordha District Collector, and other senior officials from various departments. The Chief Secretary emphasised the need for diligent execution of responsibilities by all involved.

Separately, a preparatory meeting was convened at the Odisha Legislative Assembly under the chairmanship of Speaker Surama Padhy to ensure the President’s address proceeds flawlessly.

The Speaker stressed the importance of a seamless and successful program, discussing details with senior state officials.

Participants included Anu Garg, Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary (Parliamentary Affairs) Surendra Kumar, Principal Secretary (Works) Sanjay Singh, DGP Y.B. Khurania, DG (Fire Services) Sudhanshu Sarangi, OPTCL CMD Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, Special Secretary (Home) Radha Krishna Sharma, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner S. Dev Dutt Singh, Intelligence Director R.P. Koche, Khordha District Collector Amrit Ruturaj, BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana, Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Rout, and other departmental heads.

These high-level coordinations underscore the state’s commitment to hosting the President’s visits with utmost precision and security.
