KISS, KIIT, and KIMS celebrated the 93rd birth anniversary of Pradyumna Bal with tributes, speeches, and student activities across their campuses.
The event at KISS featured L&T Chairman and Managing Director S.N. Subrahmanyan as chief guest. He honored Pradyumna Bal’s contributions to journalism and public life. KISS founder Achyuta Samanta addressed students and emphasized Bal’s fearless journalism, social commitment, and dedication to tribal upliftment.
Samanta stated that KISS and KIIT observe Pradyumna Bal Jayanti and his death anniversary every year to inspire students with his values. He described Bal as a visionary who championed the rights of the underprivileged and tribal communities.
KIIT Vice President Sameer Panda, Vice Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh, Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, and KISS Registrar Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routaray also paid floral tributes and shared memories of Bal’s impactful life.
Students participated in various competitions organized in his memory. The event concluded with a floral tribute at the Pradyumna Bal Memorial at KIMS, where senior officials joined in remembrance.
The Pradyumna Bal Jayanti celebration reflected the institutions’ commitment to preserving his legacy and motivating future generations to follow his path of truth, courage, and service.
