The Ministry of Ayush hosted a curtain raiser press conference today to preview its participation in the Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025, scheduled from November 3–5 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
During the event, Joint Secretary Smt. Alarmelmangai D. highlighted ESTIC 2025 as a celebration of India’s innovation ecosystem. She emphasized the powerful convergence of traditional health wisdom and modern technologies. As she explained, Ayush systems like Ayurveda continue to gain global recognition for their preventive and holistic approach, especially as artificial intelligence and precision medicine reshape the healthcare landscape.
To demonstrate its digital transformation, the Ministry presented the Ayush Grid initiative. This suite of platforms includes A-HMIS for hospital management, e-LMS for digital education, the Y-Break App for workplace wellness, and dedicated portals for Yoga, drug safety, and research. Additionally, global outreach tools such as the mYoga App and Ayush Global Portal strengthen India’s health diplomacy.
Adviser Dr. A. Raghu noted that ESTIC 2025 provides a national platform to showcase integrative healthcare innovations. Building on this, Joint Advisor Dr. Srinivas Rao Chinta outlined the Ministry’s focus on scalable models that merge traditional medicine with biomedical research.
The Ayush session on Health and Medical Technologies, scheduled for November 4, will be co-chaired by Secretaries Rajesh Kotecha and Rajiv Bahl. The session will feature keynote addresses by Dr. Shiv Kumar Sarin and Prof. Gagandeep Kang. A panel discussion led by Dr. Jitendra Sharma will explore the synergy between traditional systems and modern biomedical technologies.
Organized by the Department of Science and Technology and guided by the Principal Scientific Adviser’s office, ESTIC 2025 aims to accelerate innovation-led growth and advance the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
