A huge gas explosion in Central China claimed the lives of at least 12 people and left over 130 injured on Sunday.
The incident took place at around 6:30 am local time in the Zhangwan district of Shiyan city, in Hubei province.
According to the local authorities, a total of 150 people have been pulled from the debris, and the injured are being treated at local hospitals.
The number of casualties is still being verified as the search and rescue operation is underway.
Reports said that the explosion destroyed a wet market there and greatly affected nearby residents.
Meanwhile, the cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained and rescue operation is underway.
