Odisha’s Higher Education Department has extended the application deadline for key student scholarship schemes, offering more time for eligible candidates to apply.
The Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, e-Medhabrutti, Fakir Mohan Bhashabrutti, and Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana will now accept applications until October 24, 2025. The extension aims to ensure wider participation and support meritorious students across the state.
These schemes provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education in various streams. The Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana targets academically bright students, while the e-Medhabrutti covers undergraduate and postgraduate learners. The Fakir Mohan Bhashabrutti supports students studying Odia language and literature. The Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana offers aid to economically weaker sections.
The Higher Education Department announced the extension to accommodate students facing delays in documentation and verification. Officials confirmed that the online portals for each scheme remain active and accessible for new applications.
Students are advised to complete their submissions before the revised deadline to avoid last-minute issues. The extension reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive education and academic encouragement.
