In a decisive move ahead of the Nuapada Bye-Election, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has announced the formation of three key committees to spearhead its campaign efforts.
The party’s president, Naveen Patnaik, issued official orders constituting a Steering Committee, a Zonal Committee covering six ZP zones and four ULB zones, and a Local Action Committee tasked with ground-level mobilisation.
The Steering Committee comprise senior leaders such as Prasanna Acharya, Niranjan Pujari, Snehangini Chhuria, Tukuni Sahu, Niranjan Bisi, and Md. Ayub Khan will oversee the overall strategy and coordination of the election campaign.
The Zonal Committee includes prominent figures like Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (Nuapada NAC), Sarada Nayak (Nuapada NAC), Sudam Marndi, Debesh Acharya, Saroj Meher, Manohar Randhari, Rohit Pujari (Khariar NAC), Pradip Majhi, Jogesh Singh, and Bikram Panda (Khariar NAC).
The Local Action Committee comprise Adhiraj Panigrahi, Abani Joshi and Manoj Mishra.
The formation of these committees signals BJD’s intent to mount a robust and well-coordinated campaign in Nuapada, a constituency that has witnessed dynamic political shifts in recent years.
With seasoned leaders at the helm and grassroots mobilizers on the ground, the party aims to consolidate its presence and connect with voters across demographic segments.
