President Droupadi Murmu received credentials from four foreign envoys at Rashtrapati Bhavan on October 3, 2025.
The ceremony marked a formal beginning of diplomatic duties for the newly appointed ambassadors.
Those who presented their credentials were:
1. H.E. Mr Ahmedou Sidi Mohamed, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania
2. H.E. Mr Christian Biever, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
3. H.E. Mr Christopher Cooter, High Commissioner of Canada
4. H.E. Mr Tomaz Mencin, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia
The President welcomed each representative and acknowledged their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. India continues to expand its global partnerships through diplomatic engagement and cooperation.
Ahmedou Sidi Mohamed represents the Islamic Republic of Mauritania as its new Ambassador to India. Christian Biever serves as the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Christopher Cooter joins as the High Commissioner of Canada to India. Tomaz Mencin takes charge as the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia. Each envoy expressed interest in enhancing collaboration with India across various sectors.
India values diplomatic relations with Mauritania, Luxembourg, Canada, and Slovenia. The credential ceremony reinforces India’s commitment to international cooperation.
