Vedanta Aluminium is providing healthcare support to women and families in remote areas through the Government of India’s Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan.
Launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this initiative represents the nation’s largest health outreach program for women and children, jointly led by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development. As part of this campaign, Vedanta Aluminium organised health camps at the PHC in Nakrundi, Kalahandi, and the CHC in Kashipur, Rayagada, deploying Mobile Health Units (MHUs) with medical staff, diagnostics, and essential medicines. These camps benefited 468 women and more than 410 men and children. Building on this outreach, the company plans to support upcoming camps at Rampur and Sunger.
