Bhubaneswar: Reined in by limited work hours owing to the lockdown, many grocery stores have come up with innovative ways to beat the regulations at the Market building in Bhubaneswar.
Though most shops close by 11 am , as stipulated by the authorities, they actually function surreptitiously throughout the day, thereby ensuring the minimum effect of the lockdown on their businesses or on customers.
Reportedly, from keeping their shops half-closed, few shops at the market building are supplying goods from the backdoor or sitting outside their shops for customers who may walk in looking for some essentials.
The shopkeepers were also spotted selling goods at a hiked price during this time and the customers are forced to buy stuffs at these prices as they were essential.
Few peoples are seen violating covid norms by hanging out with friends in the name of buying essential goods.
