India’s Junior Hockey Squad Announced for Sultan of Johor Cup 2025

Hockey India has officially unveiled its 18-member junior men’s squad for the upcoming Sultan of Johor Cup 2025, scheduled to take place in Malaysia from October 11 to 18.


The team will be led by defender Rohit, with legendary goalkeeper PR Sreejesh serving as head coach.

India, which clinched the bronze medal in the previous edition of the tournament, will kick off its campaign against Great Britain on October 11. The squad features a balanced mix of experienced juniors and promising newcomers across all positions.

  • Goalkeepers: Bikramjit Singh, Princedeep Singh
  • Defenders: Rohit (Captain), Talem Priyobarta, Anmol Ekka, Amir Ali, Sunil P B, Ravneet Singh
  • Midfielders: Ankit Pal, Thounaojam Ingalemba Luwang, Adrohit Ekka, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Rosan Kujur, Manmeet Singh
  • Forwards: Arshdeep Singh, Sourabh Anand Kushwaha, Ajeet Yadav, Gurjot Singh
  • Standbys: Vivek Lakra, Shardanand Tiwari, Thockchom Kingson Singh, Rohit Kullu, Dilraj Singh

The announcement has sparked excitement among fans and analysts, with many eager to see how the young squad performs under Sreejesh’s guidance. The Sultan of Johor Cup is considered a key platform for grooming future stars of Indian hockey.
