The Orissa High Court has granted permission for the installation of six towering gateways in Cuttack city in preparation for Durga Puja celebrations.
The approval comes as a relief to organizers and devotees who eagerly await the grandeur of the city’s iconic festive decorations.
The six designated locations for the high-rise gateways include:
- Ranihaat
- Chandini Chowk
- Badambadi
- Khannagar
- Malgodown
- Shikharpur
The High Court clarified that the permissions will be granted in two phases, ensuring proper regulation and safety compliance. This move is expected to enhance the visual appeal of the city and uphold Cuttack’s reputation for hosting one of the most elaborate Durga Puja festivities in eastern India.
