Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday joined world leaders at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, where he held key interactions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Sharing moments from the summit on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi wrote:
“Interactions in Tianjin continue! Exchanging perspectives with President Putin and President Xi during the SCO Summit.”
Earlier, the Indian Prime Minister warmly greeted President Putin with a handshake and hug, describing their meeting as “always a delight.”
The summit, inaugurated by Chinese President Xi, brought together over 20 heads of state and government, including leaders from the ten SCO member countries. Live footage showed Xi, Putin, and Modi engaging in a brief conversation during the group photo session.
PM Modi is scheduled to deliver his address shortly, where he is expected to emphasize regional cooperation, connectivity, and economic resilience amid global uncertainties.
