False gang rape allegation Udala

VIEWS

In a shocking revelation, a young woman in Udala, Odisha, admitted to fabricating a gang rape accusation that led to the detention of two innocent youths.

The confession came before the police and a judicial magistrate, unravelling a meticulously planned conspiracy orchestrated from within the walls of Baripada jail. The woman’s medical report further confirmed no assault had occurred, exposing the false narrative.

The case, initially reported at the Bangiriposi police station, alleged that five men assaulted the woman inside a van in Udala. Acting swiftly, the Udala police, with assistance from Bangiriposi, detained two suspects and launched an investigation. However, as the probe deepened, the truth emerged: the accusation was a scripted plot to frame innocent individuals.

The masterminds behind this scheme were two inmates, Nana Sae from Kaptipada and Shyam Sundar Rana from Sarat, both incarcerated in Baripada jail for unrelated cases. The duo allegedly devised the plan to trap their rivals, using the young woman and her mother, who is Shyam Sundar’s sister-in-law, as pawns. The mother and daughter gathered information about the targeted individuals and fabricated the gang rape story to mislead the police.

The police investigation dismantled the conspiracy, revealing the chilling extent of manipulation. “The allegation was entirely false, and we are taking appropriate action,” a police official stated. The mother and daughter are now facing scrutiny.
