Rapper Tevin Hood, widely known by his stage name T-Hood, has died after being shot at his residence in Snellville, Georgia. He was 33.
According to TMZ, Gwinnett County police responded to reports of a dispute that escalated into gunfire. First responders provided emergency aid at the scene before transporting T-Hood to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police confirmed that one person has been detained and questioned in connection with the shooting. The case is being investigated as a homicide, though the motive remains unclear.
T-Hood’s mother, Yulanda, confirmed that the shooting occurred at his home and denied reports of an ongoing party at the time.
Known for tracks such as Ready 2 Go, Big Booty, and Perculator, T-Hood’s discography also includes Girls in the Party, Yellow Xan, 6 Shades of Z, Red Kush, No Problems (feat. Bear1boss), and Whisper.
In December 2024, the rapper posted on Instagram about struggling with grief and mental health after losing two friends in one week. “I just wanna say 2025 will be AMAZING.. I LOVE YALL,” he had written, expressing hopes for a fresh creative chapter.
Police have yet to release further details about the suspect or possible charges.
