Kalahandi Youth Step into Workforce as Skill Drive Gains Traction

In a transformative milestone for rural development, Vedanta Aluminium has achieved a 92% placement rate for its inaugural Food & Beverage (F&B) training batch at the Lanjigarh Skills Training Centre.

The initiative empowers youth with industry-aligned vocational training and digital literacy, marking a vital step toward socio-economic integration.

💡 Under its flagship program in collaboration with Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) and NABARD, Vedanta has trained 701 out of its target of 1200 rural youth over three years.

📶 As part of the curriculum:

All trainees completed 40 hours of IT literacy training
90% received digital education for the first time, enhancing their job-readiness
Trainees now access employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, boosting household incomes
