Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Vijaypal Singh Tomar as the in-charge for Odisha state and Lata Usendi as co-incharge.
On Friday, the BJP announced the appointment of state in-charges and co-incharges, with most incumbent office-bearers retaining their positions.
Previously, Tomar and Usendi served as the election in-charge and co-incharge for Odisha. Both of them were entrusted with responsibilities during the 2024 Elections & they will continue in the same posts.
Two Odisha MPs have been also been given new tasks by the party. Puri MP Sambit Patra has been assigned coordinator for the North East states while Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi will take on the role of co-incharge for Kerala.
V Muraleedharan, the former Union Minister of State for External Affairs, will act as the joint coordinator for the North East states. Prakash Javadekar and Satish Poonia have been assigned as in-charges for Kerala and Haryana, respectively.
National general secretaries Vinod Tawde, Tarun Chugh, and Radha Mohan Das Agarwal will continue their roles in Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, and Karnataka, respectively.
Nitin Nabin, an MLA from Bihar, will take charge of Chhattisgarh, with Ashish Sood for Goa, Shrikant Sharma for Himachal Pradesh, Laxmikant Bajpai for Jharkhand, and Mahendra Singh for Madhya Pradesh.
Vijay Rupani, the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, along with Dushyant Kumar Gautam, a national general secretary of the party, will continue as in-charges for Punjab and Uttarakhand, respectively.
