Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond today reiterated that the final call lies with the District Collectors in view of the prevailing weather conditions in their respective districts.
“We had directed the District Collectors to commence morning schools in districts that are likely to receive rainfall and have favourable weather conditions. In districts, that are still reeling under heat, Collectors were given the authority to take necessary decisions taking into consideration the prevailing hot and humid weather conditions,” informed Minister Gond.
He added, “We are yet to take any decision regarding reopening of schools. No concrete decision has been taken in this regard. The final announcement will be made after the decision.”
