Pakistani forces allegedly kidnapped an 18-year-old Baloch youth for the second time from the Kech district of Balochistan on Friday.
As per Balochistan Post reports, the Pakistani military forces raided the youth Brahmdagh Nawaz’s (18) home on Friday, assaulted the occupants, confiscated mobile phones, and forcibly took Brahmdagh with them.
Notably, Brahmdagh was previously detained by security forces on October 14, 2023. After four months, he was released on February 6, 2024, according to a report by The Balochistan Post. His family expressed concern over his repeated disappearances and called for his safe return.
The human rights wing of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), known as PAANK, condemned this as a gross violation of human rights. In a post, they stated that Brahamdagh, a minor student, had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces for the second time recently. They emphasized that this cycle of abductions and torture is a grave violation of human rights and international law.
Additionally, on June 13, human rights activist Mahrang Baloch from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) criticised the failure of all commissions and committees formed by the Pakistan government to address cases of missing persons from Balochistan.
