Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted the 13th session of his public grievance hearing today at Unit-II, Bhubaneswar.

The initiative, rooted in his commitment to a “People’s Government,” continues to bring ministers and bureaucrats face-to-face with citizens’ concerns.

Joining the CM were nine senior ministers—including those heading revenue, health, education, and urban development—alongside departmental secretaries and senior IAS officials. The program saw scores of citizens present their grievances, many of whom waited eagerly outside the venue from early morning.

Among the attendees, differently-abled complainants were personally greeted by CM Majhi, who accepted their petitions with empathy and assurance. As the hearing progressed, registered complainants presented issues spanning public service delivery, healthcare, and social welfare.

Of the 11,516 complaints received till the 12th session, a remarkable 91%—totalling 10,502—have been successfully resolved. The remainder are under active review.

Notably, the Single Window System emerged as a beacon of hope for patients with critical illnesses. Relief totalling Rs 55 lakh was distributed among 51 beneficiaries this year, including Rs 53 lakh offered just today. Senior medical teams were present on-site to facilitate immediate response to urgent health complaints.

The CM’s direct engagement and swift response impressed attendees, many of whom returned home with a sense of satisfaction. Citizens expressed admiration for the administration’s transparency, accountability, and human-centric approach.

This event also witnessed participation from:

  • Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari
  • Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling
  • Law & Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan
  • Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra
  • Higher Education & Odia Language Minister Suryabanshi Suraj
  • Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik
  • Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena
  • Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain
  • MSME & Fisheries Minister Gokulananda Mallik

Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu and Principal Secretary to the CM Saswat Mishra, ensured structured coordination during the session.

The CM’s grievance redressal drive has become a hallmark of his leadership—demonstrating how direct accountability and citizen-centricity can build trust in governance.
