Bhubaneswar: No mobile phones are allowed inside the strong rooms during the counting of the votes on 4th June, the Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Kumar said.
“Elaborate arrangements were made for vote counting tomorrow; an additional 115 companies of forces to remain deployed; 3-tier security to be in place at counting centres”, said the ADGP.
Stringent security arrangements have been made for the counting of votes in the strong rooms tomorrow.
A total of 95 CAPFÂ companies will be deployed in the state during the counting of EVMs on June 4 and maintenance of the law and order, the CEO Nikunja Bihari Dhal confirmed on Sunday.
A record number of 185 CAPF companies were deployed in Odisha during the four-phase Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
After the completion of the elections, 25 companies of CAPF were retained for deployment at the EVM strongroom and counting centre. Now, an additional 70 companies of CAPF have been retained in the state to maintain the law and order situation after the elections.
