A wave of panic swept through parts of the capital on Monday morning as at least three schools reported receiving bomb threats via email.
The alerts came from CRPF Schools in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka Sector 16, along with another institution in Chanakyapuri, prompting immediate deployment of emergency services.
The first alert was received around 8 AM, triggering swift police action. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh, “Local police teams, sniffer dogs, and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the schools for thorough checks. The areas were quickly sanitised, and no suspicious items have been found so far.”
Cyber experts are currently analysing the source of the emails, while the schools remain under tightened security as a precautionary measure. Though the threat appears to be a hoax, officials are treating it with utmost seriousness to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The incident has reignited concerns around school security protocols and online threat monitoring, with parents and educators calling for more robust systems to prevent such disruptions.
As investigations continue, Delhi Police has urged citizens to remain calm and vigilant, assuring full transparency and updates on the matter.
