Odisha CM’s Power-Packed Delhi Visit: PM Modi Meeting Fuels State’s Growth Vision

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi returned to Bhubaneswar today after a significant visit to Delhi, where he held a productive 35-minute discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


The meeting focused on accelerating Odisha’s development, aligning with the state’s vision of a prosperous Odisha by 2036 and contributing to a developed India by 2047.

CM Majhi described the dialogue as fruitful, emphasising actionable strategies to elevate Odisha’s progress compared to other states.

The Chief Minister’s Delhi visit also included paying tributes to the late father of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, meeting President Droupadi Murmu to present the Vision Document book, and holding discussions with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP General Secretary BL Santosh.

Odisha CM Condemns Balasore Incident, Promises Swift Action

Addressing the recent incident at Fakir Mohan College in Balasore, CM Majhi strongly condemned the event, assuring that a committee formed by the Higher Education Department would investigate. He promised exemplary action against the culprits once the committee submits its report and emphasised measures to prevent such incidents in educational institutions.

Upon arriving at Bhubaneswar airport, Majhi visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar to check on the victim’s health, consulting with the hospital director and doctors. He met the victim’s parents, offering support and stating that, if needed, the student would be airlifted to AIIMS Delhi for advanced treatment upon health stabilisation.

CM Majhi reiterated his commitment to Odisha’s development and justice, ensuring both progress and safety for the state’s citizens.
